About Adobe print driver
Hello,I'm currently running MacOS Catalina 10.15.7, and Adobe Illustrator 2021 (v25.0.0) is crashing quite frequently (several times daily). I've noticed it almost always happens after the following sequence of events:1. I open the print dialogue box via File>Print.2. I click on 'Setup' to choose the correct printer and preset print options (via the MacOS print dialogue), then click 'Print" (which returns to the Illustrator print dialogue as normal).3. I then finalize the print operation by clicking 'Print' at the bottom right of the Illustrator print dialogue. After this, the program immediately crashes and closes itself without printing.I'm wondering if this could have anything to do with the recent HP driver issues that Mac users have been experiencing (I'm printing to an HP M750 everytime it crashes). I did download and install the latest HP driver update, to no avail. I've also tried uninstalling and reinstalling Illustrator directly from the Adobe website. Thinking maybe uninstalling and trying the CC Cleaner might be the next step?Below is the first part of the latest crash report. Called Apple who was/is always happy to help and often goes well beyond the call of duty to assist frazzled/valued customers and never afraid of the effects of consumer tech burnout. Apple recommended using their Preview application to print Adobe generated .pdfs. Works like a fricken charm. Thanks, Apple. The program is Acrobat. Free Acrobat does show "print on both sides" when the printer driver conveys that information to the OS so that the application can set that option. As may drivers on a Mac don't do that -- which is a driver problem, not an Acrobat problem -- you need to pass via the "Printer setup" (not Page setup) from the print dialog in Acrobat. I am on a Mac. Using Adobe. Prints on both sides of the page - and I DO NOT WANT THIS. This is not a driver issue as this is only happening printing from Acrobat. A product I paid for.
