After starting up PSPad I noticed that all my custom settings were reversed (e.g. tab width, window size, highlighter options, etc.).Since older 32bit PSPad builds had the habit of randomly reverting to the default PSPad.INI settings I took a manual backup of my working PSPad.INI file a few months ago.
